The Vicoforte’s Village of today corresponds almost exactly to the Castle, that was therefore not limited to the Governor’s palace, but that would include, together with the Church, wide housings surrounded by imposing fortifications. The remains of the walls, the names of the places still in use (Fossato, Bastioni) and the historical documents are a proof of the history of this Medieval Village.
