“Fo” certainly derived from the beech, as shown by the high number of beech trees in this place, together with numerous other interesting arboreal essences. A local poet, enchanted by the magic of the place, imagined that the name was referred to a legendary faun: “…the fountain of the Faun – under the midday sun – is all a good play – of green and yellow lights…”.
