The Pillar is dedicated to Saint Eurosia, patron of farmlands from lightning. It is located in a region that takes the name from one of the most ancient families of Vicoforte. Avagnina is the current variation of Lavagnina, remained in the local dialect, which is the name recorded since the 13th century of one of the families from Vicoforte that founded Mondovì.
